We have two huge tournaments kicking off at 2 pm in the Event Center this afternoon. Event 29 is a $1,100 buy-in No Limit Hold’em tournament with a $50,000 guarantee and one-day structure. This will play out this afternoon alongside the $10K High Roller.

Event 29 players will start with 20K stacks and all levels last 30 minutes. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 6:55 pm following the 40-minute dinner break.

They will play down into the winner later this evening, one of the last WPT trophy winners of the series.

The two-day $1,700 buy-in Event 26 field filled in nicely and the tournament nearly tripled its $75,000 guarantee. They played down through 15 levels yesterday and 18 players return this afternoon at 1 pm in the money and trying to take the $60K top prize.

Claudio Piedrabuena leads the way back but his tough competition includes Raminder Singh going for his third trophy of the series, and Ken Fishman going for his second.

Cards go back in the air at 1 pm and we will hit some highlights along the way while tracking the Championship.

Seth Fischer opened to 30,000 from early position and Jake Ferro three-bet to 100,000 next to act. It folded to Wagner Wysotchanski in the big blind and he moved all in for 430,000.

“I’m not worried about you,” Fischer said to Wysotchanski.

“I’m worried about him,” Fischer said about Ferro.

Fischer folded and Ferro called with the bigger stack.

The 2022 WPT Tampa Championship is down to 99 players in contention for the title, and they return today at noon to make moves toward some really big money.

Corey Wade leads the field for the start of Day 3 with WSOPC Tampa ring winner David DiBernardi in second. Viet Vo, who final tabled the two biggest WPT fields in their history (2021 and 2022 Hollywood Poker Showdown), since in the top ten as well.

Today’s schedule has them playing eight levels, an hour each until the field gets down to the last three tables.

Today is our last in the Event Center, everything moves to the Poker Room for the last two days, and we are closing out our time here with three big new tournaments. Event 28 kicks off the day at 11 am with a $600 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em tournament that has a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool and a slow structure.

They’ll sit down to 30K deep stacks and the first 20 levels last 30 minutes, going up to 40 from Level 21 till the end. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 3:30 pm.

This is a one-day tournament so we will be handing out one of the last WPT trophies of the series later this evening.
