2021 Pinktober Poker Open in Review

Steve Trizis, Pinktober Poker Open One-Day Challenge Champ

The 2021 Pinktober Poker Open schedule featured 10 tournaments over 12 days with $283,000 in guaranteed money. Not content with that number, our players came out the entire series and combined to put up $530,690 in prize money.

That is a great success by any measure.

We kicked things off with a $500 Mega Stack multi-flight tournament and Antwan Prince took the top prize of $28,818 after a final table deal. Ken O’Donnell won the second big tournament when he collected $20,059 for an outright win in the $600 multi-day tournament.

But the entire series was headlined by the $1,100 buy-in One-Day Challenge on the last Saturday of the series. The tournament put up a six-digit prize pool and it was Tampa Poker regular Steve Trizist taking the top prize after a late hot stream.

You can find updates/results for all 10 events below. Thank you to everyone who came out to support the series and we look forward to seeing everyone for the 2021 Tampa Winter Poker Open running from December 1 through December 13!

Mark Glazewski, Seniors 60+ Champion

The Pinktober Poker Open series closed out with two last tournaments including a great turnout for the $250 Seniors 60+.  It drew 85 players and Mark Glazewski dominated the entire day to take the title.

Glazewski held the chip lead early in the day, continued to build throughout, and never surrendered his stack. He cruised to the final table and took the title after a heads up deal with David Bander saw him earn $5,320.

The Seniors 60+ really pumped the breaks once they reached the last two tables. There was little action and we still have 12 players remaining as they get ready to head off for their 30-minute dinner break.

Mark Glazewski is still way way out in front as the other 11 try to catch him.

Can he carry it through for a title? We will let you know when we post the full list of results later this evening.

It took them a little while to drop two players but the Seniors 60+ is officially down to their last two tables. Tournament staff paused the clock and the 16 remaining players redrew new seats.

Nine of these players will make some money while five of them will have to wait for the next one.

Mark Glazewski

Seniors were sent on another break after Level 12 as tournament staff colored off the black chips and they are only two KOs away from a two-table redraw.

Mark Glazewski continued to lead the field and built his stack up to 340,500 for the big stack in the room.

Event 9: Dan Wilson Goes for Two

$250 Seniors 60+ NLH (Re-Entry)
$10,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 11:  1,000/2,000 with a 2,000 ante
Players Remaining:  29 of 85

Dan Wilson

The Seniors 60+ field is moving right along at a nice clip, they are wasting no time getting it in. There are 29 players remaining at four tables and not far from the last three.

Dan Wilson is still in the field and trying to go two-for-two in our Seniors Event. He captured the Seniors 50+ title last week and another would do just nicely.
