The second break is over, players are back in their seats, registration closed for the Seniors 60+ tournament, and it drew 85 entries for a fantastic turnout. We will post the payout information as soon as it is available.

We found two big stacks while they were gone and they are very close. Mark Glazewski leads the field after eight levels with 168,200 while Romie Montano isn’t far behind with 161,400.

Greg Osborn

Big hands happen even when it’s not late in the game. We caught the end of a hand at Table 20 with a lot of chips in the middle. Greg Osborn was all in at risk for 33,200 (better than starting stack) against Tony March.

Osborn got his chips in good, finding action with his AcAs against JdJh. March still had a two-out dream after the 8c8d4h flop but Osborn made a boat on the Ad turn to slam the door. He is up to 68,400 and March dropped below starting stack.

Michael Williams

We closed out the weekend with a Pinktober Poker Open $200 Bankroll Builder Sunday afternoon; poker and football and big money. The tournament drew 164 entries and Michael Williams took the top prize after a six-way deal at the final table saw him earn $6,863.

The tournament doubled its $10,000 guarantee and then some, creating a prize pool worth $26,240. The last 17 spots paid out and they burst the bubble in an interesting manner. Still three away from the money, we lost a player at each of the last three tables at the exact same time so no hand-for-hand was needed.

Once the final table was reached, they lost three players before the last six decided to divide up the remaining prize money with Williams taking the biggest piece. Eric Fields, Jay Giles, Ruben Torres, Chanthy Phoutsakanh, and Wally Maddah were all part of the deal.

Congrats to Michael and great job by our players for such a great final Sunday of the series.

Event 8: Easy Money Bubble

$200 Bankroll Builder (Re-Entry)
$10,000 Guaranteed | Structure | Payouts
Level 18:  4,000/8,000 with a 8,000 ante
Players Remaining:  17 of 164

The action slowed again and it looked like we’d be getting the money bubble near the next break. We have 20 players remaining at three tables when things took off in a sprint.

One player was eliminated at each table, at the same time, to suddenly go from 20 remaining to 17 in the money just like that.

Wally Maddah is in the group cashing and he has chips. For record-keeping purposes, he also booked the 83rd Tampa Poker cash of his career for the most in our history. Karl Manouchakian tied for the lead on Friday with his 82nd, stayed there all day Saturday until Maddah cashed the One-Day Challenge, and now Maddah is back at the top.

That will conclude our coverage for the day. We will post the results and final numbers after they finish this evening.

Event 8: Jay Giles Leads by a Mile

$200 Bankroll Builder (Re-Entry)

Level 14:  2,000/3,000 with a 3,000 ante
Players Remaining:  33 of 164

Jay Giles

Another break has come and gone and players are back in their seats for another five levels of action. The tournament is down to 33 players and should be in the money before they have another pause.

Jay Giles was the clear big stack in the room while they were gone and it wasn’t close. He was stacked up to 525,000 with only a few others teasing the 200K mark.

Giles hit it nice this summer with a nice runner-up finish in the $1K tournament during our WPT series in June, earning a $37,415 payday.
