Flight C of Event 12 is going big this afternoon and it set another big mark this afternoon. We have a combined 689 entries so far to more than double the $100,000 guarantee and put more than $230,000 in the prize pool with another full flight to go.
Some familiar faces today include Phillip Krnyaich, Wagner Wysotchanski, Michael Tait, and Maurice Hawkins.
We have a nice mid-week multi-flight tournament underway that is already making waves heading into the last weekend. Event 12 has a $400 buy-in with a $100,000 guarantee and four starting flights.
The first two flights ran on Monday and they’ve already put up a prize pool near $150,000, so today we build it up starting with Flight C at 11 am.
Players sit down to 20,000 starting stacks and all Day 1 levels last 30 minutes, going up to 40 minutes on Day 2. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 3:30 pm. Flight C will play down to the last 10% of the field and they will join the 45 who already advanced to Day 2 on Wednesday at 2 pm in the money.

The second flight of Event 12 gets underway at 6 pm in the Event Center, the second multi-flight tournament on the schedule. It has a $400 buy-in with a huge $100,000 guaranteed prize pool that should be huge.
Players start with 20,000 in chips and all last 30 minutes on Day 1, increasing to 40 minutes on Day 2. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 10:30 pm. They will play down to 10% of the starting field and survivors will bag their chips for a Day 2 return on Wednesday at 2 pm.

Registration closed for Flight A of WPT Tampa Event 12 with 186 entries in the $600 buy-in tournament getting a long ways toward the $100,000 guarantee already. They already put $62,310 in the prize pool with the guarantee expected to be beaten in the night flight.
Flight A will continue until 19 players remain and they will bag up their chips for a Day 2 return on Wednesday at 2 pm in the money.
The next multi-flight event on the 2022 WPT Tampa schedule gets underway at 11 am in the Event Center. This time around we have a $400 buy-in tournament with four starting flights and a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool. Event 12 was the last warmup before the Tampa Poker Classic Championship and it produced a fantastic field and final table. Brett Apter had a huge deficit heads-up but defeated Hunter Cichy to take the top prize of $67,330 for the title.
The tournament drew 106 entries to more than double the $100,000 into a prize pool worth $212,000. The last 11 players made the money and the final table nine advanced to Day 2.
The tournament came down to two top players in Apter and Cichy. The two pros battled for hours until Apter erased Cichy’s lead and won the tournament on a huge coin flip.
Cichy earned $41,610 for his runner-up finish while Apter cashed out for $67,330 and added the TPC trophy to his collection.

After a long final table and heads-up match, Brett Apter came back from a short stack to defeat Hunter Cichy for the TPC Event12 title. It came down to Apter’s winning a flip against Cichy’s pocket fives for the last hand of the tournament and locking up the win.
Cichy earned $41,610 for his runner-up finish while Apter took home $67,330 and some momentum going into Flight B of the Championship tomorrow.
