$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Play ends on Level 13: 1,200/2,400/300 ante (15 min remaining)
19 Players Remaining, 99k avg (41 bb)
The field of 157 entries was pared-down so quickly that the tournament ended with 19 players remaining, 12% of the field.
Adam Santos (Oxford, FL) is the chip leader with 243k and a self proclaimed shark.
“I am Megalodon,” he says with great enthusiasm, referring to the prehistoric shark. The Megalodon measured 70 feet long, weighed as much as 50 tons and feasted on whales.
The one thing Santos hasn’t considered is that Megalodon went extinct 2 million years ago. He’s ahead of Grant Missonis (Clearwater, FL) who bags 189k.
Santos largest career recorded tournament cash came here in March when he final tabled the Championship Event for a 6th place finish worth $17,000.
Others bagging chips included Mohamed Maghraoui and Osama Ismail.
Maghraoui the Tournament Leaderboard Promotions leader jumped into Flight A after cashing 15th in Event 10, while Ismail finished 12th in Sunday’s Event 8.
The 19 remaining players return for Thursday’s Day 2. The second of three flights is 5 pm Tuesday.
