They six-handed tournament is quickly building after a slow start, mostly due to players dropping out of the Event 1 field and jumping immediately into the bigger $1,100 buy-in tournament. They are only a couple new entries away from topping the $50,000 and spinning it up.

Shawn Mohamed

The Flight A field continued to expand after the first break and we found more familiar faces in the field including our defending champ.

Last year, the opening event of the series was a $500 Big Stack that produced a prize pool over $2,000,000. Shawn Mohamed cruised to the final table and took the top spot for nearly $200K after a four-way deal. He’s back today trying to do it again.

Other new notables include former WSOP Millionaire Maker champ Femi Fashakin, Solange Lucas, and Jacob Naumann.
