TK Miles

TK Miles open-shoved for 150,000 from under the gun and LaVann Williams raised it up to 300,000. The rest of the table folded and cards were tabled.

Williams: AcKs
Miles: As4s

Miles founded a suited ace with ten bigs but was in rough shape against Williams’s big slick. The dealer spread the Qc6d3sThTc board and Miles was eliminated in 27th place.

Before that, Alan Thomas went out in 28th place falling just shy of a final table in all three of our multi-day events.

LaVann Williams – 810,000 (54 bb)

27th: TK Miles – $3,405
28th: Alan Thomas – $3,405

Main Event: Jason Kapoor Doubles Through John Dolan

Jason Kapoor

Action folded to Jason Kapoor in the small blind and he moved all in for 280,000. John Dolan took a couple of minutes to think about it, Kapoor had a wine delivered, and Dolan called to put him at risk.

Kapoor: KdQh
Dolan: QcJc

Kapoor had a dominating hand and faded the Ac9s4s2d3h board to double up.

Jason Kapoor – 575,000 (38 bb)
John Dolan – 230,000 (15 bb)

No one is running away with it right now, it’s still anyone’s game.

Main Event: Everette Holland Eliminated by Karl Manouchakian

Everette Holland

Everette Holland was all in for 120,000 from middle position and Karl Manouchakian called from the small blind.

Manouchakian: KsQh
Holland: AdTc

Holland was looking good for a double up but Manouchakian paried his king on the Kc9h5h flop. The Qd turn left Holland looking for one of the four jacks in the deck but he missed the 3s river to exit in 29th place.

Karl Manouchakian – 605,000 (40 bb)

29th: Everette Holland – $3,405
30th: Aaron Thivyanathan – $3,405

Aaron Thivyanathan

A big hand went down on Table 11 with Aaron Thivyanathan all in for 500,000 against Hal Rotholz with a bit of a bigger stack.

Thivyanathan: KcKd
Rotholz: AhKh

Thivyanathan was in shape for a huge double up but there was an ace in the window on the Ad9d8s to give Rotholz the lead. The 2c turn and 2s river finished the board to send Thivyanathan out and Rothholz up.

Hal Rotholz – 1,200,000 (80 bb)
Aaron Thivyanathan – Eliminated in 30th Place ($3,405)

Herbert Woodbery

The players earned the next break after that bit on the bubble and things settled down. We lost two more players, Jason Goldman and Michael Smith, before the second break came around.

Some of our former leaders dipped while others moved up. Herbert Woodbery now leads the field with 1,030,000 followed by Aiping Jiang (965,000), Edgardo Rosario (875,000), Anthony Askey (830,000), and John Dolan (735,000).

Blinds are up to 5,000/10,000 with a 10,000 ante and the average stack is about 435,000 (44 bb) with 37 players remaining.

Main Event: Crazy Bubble Burst

Level 18:  4,000/8,000 with a 8,000 ante
Players Remaining:  39 of 323

Action was slow nearing the money bubble until it wasn’t. Then things went a little sideways and it took a few minutes to get straight before cards went back in the air.

With 43 remaining and 41 getting paid, tournament staff were waiting for one player to be eliminated to begin hand-for-hand. But four players busted out at the same time around the room to suddenly put the field into the money with a little controlled chaos.

Ken O’Donnell, Luke Brereton, Toby Boas, and David Tuthill were all eliminated at the same time to quickly drop the field to 39 and they chopped the bottom two spots.

40th: Luke Brereton – $1,493
41st: Toby Boas – $1,493
42nd: Ken O’Donnell – $1,492
43rd: David Tuthill – $1,492

Main Event: Waiting for the Bubble

Level 18:  4,000/8,000 with a 8,000 ante
Players Remaining:  43 of 323

Luke Brereton

There was little action after the blinds went up. Jeremy Becker was unable to bounce back from his early drop but that was the only player eliminated in the first 30 minutes of the new level.

Luke Brereton looks like the shortest stack of the remaining players but he still has enough chips to push opponents off hands.
