Jeremy Costa trying for his second cash of the day
It’s a fine time for some evening poker and we have enough entrants in Level 5 to meet the guarantee with more than an hour left to register.
The bounties have kicked things up a little and several players have been knocked out only to jump back in. Jeremy Costa is in action also and looking for a second trip to the payout desk today. He was eliminated in Event 9 on the hand immediately after the money bubble and he parlayed that cash into an Event 10 entry.

We’re ready to kick off the next new tournament on the 2015 Winter Poker Open schedule and it should be a fun, quick tournament with rewards for getting it one player shorter.
Event 10 is a $125 buy-in No Limit Hold’em tournament with $75 going into the regular prize pool and $25 going on the head of each entrant. Take away the last of their chips, earn a green cash chip worth $25 cash at the cage. There’s also a $5,000 guarantee on this tournament to pull in a few extras players along the way.
Each entrant starts with a 15,000 stack and they will play 20-minute levels throughout the day. Late registration and re-entry is available until the start of Level 9 around 9:10pm with breaks after Levels 4 and 8.
They will cruise at a brisk pace until we have the latest WPO Champion. Players are taking their seats and we will be underway shortly.

Paulo Castro – 1st Place
RECAP
The last event of the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Winter Poker Open was a seven-way chop with Paulo Castro (Sao Paulo, Brazil) taking home the final custom guitar trophy.
Casto is declared the winner based on having the chip lead, slightly more than runner-up Denise Tuck.
“It’s good,” said the soft spoken Brazilian, who finished 7th earlier in the series in Event 7 ($250 buy-in) for $1,934. He said a key hand in the tournament when his AQ beat pocket 6s.
“Flopped a boat,” smiled Tuck on her key hand. She held AK on an A-A-K flop, “ace-king was the catalyst to get me this far.”
Gary Lucci, Jared Grey, Justin Dunn, Ray Lambert and Norbert Kara are the other five players who all agreed to an even split of the remaining prize pool money. Each player took home ~$2,800.
The tournament began with 213 entries as the top 27 earned a piece of the $25,560 prize pool.
“It was a long day, I’m tired,” said Grey.
Castro is part of a strong Brazilian contingent that has been playing throughout the series. He’s currently living and working in Miami and Castro said this is one of his best tournament cashes.
