The two starting flights of Event 3 drew 262 entries to the $400 buy-in tournament and 59 of them return today for Day 2 at noon. The total field size is not locked in yet because registration will remain open until cards go in the air.

Fernando Rodriguez bagged a huge lead in Flight A and his friend Edgardo Rosario came the closest to catching him.

Blind levels kick up to 60 minutes for the start of Day 2 and increase to 90 minutes from Level 23 until the tournament is heads-up. We will post the final prize pool and payout number as soon as they are available.

Flight B came to an end with 41 players remaining of the 172 starters. Edgardo Rosario played a steady game all day long and put 534,000 in his bag for tomorrow. That’s still less than half of Flight A leader Fernando Rodriguez but it’s good for second place.

Registration will remain open for Event 3 overnight and close when cards go in the air for Day 2 at noon.

Flight B is rolling into the last level of the evening with 56 of the 169 starters remaining. They are battling to survive and build a big stack for Day 2 tomorrow.

But they all have a lot of work to do if they want to catch the overall chip lead of Fernando Rodriguez. If you missed it, Rodriguez bagged huge HUGE in Flight A. Worthy of the emphasis. He put away 869,000 for Day 2 and nearly 600K ahead of second-place Soe Lee with 278,000.

That is 24% of the total chips in play for Flight A.

There’s at least a little free money in today’s Flight B field, money in the prize pool with no one behind the stack. This was anticipated. Dan Clemente won Event 1 last night for a cool $34K and he also earned a seat in today’s flight by making the final table.

Clemente was unable to make it this afternoon and his stack has been blinded down to 7,000 and good for another couple orbits.

Flight B players returned from their dinner break with 138 in the game and a new leader. Edgardo Rosario moved to the top of the counts with 218,000 followed by Viral Mehta in second with 187,000 and Albennes Armstrong with 186,500. Former chip leader Hassan Hakin is still up there with 145,500.

They will play three more levels before taking the final break of the day.
