Jeremy Becker

Event 3 was the second multi-flight tournament on the September Super Stacks schedule and boosted things to start the week. The $600 buy-in tournament drew 271 entries and Poker Room regular Jeremy Becker walked away with the title along with $27,200 following a heads-up deal.

The two starting flights easily surpassed the $50,000 guarantee and put $142,275 in the prize pool with 34 spots getting paid. Day 2 had 59 players return plus another nine who registered before cards went back in the air and it took a marathon to make it into the money.

Once they got there, the tournament quickly played down to the final table with Kennii Nguyen leading. It stayed that way as players dropped by Becker went on a heater to take the lead and the title when the two decided to split up the remaining prize pool.

After several close calls, Becker picked up his first major SHR Tampa win for a $27,200 payday and that trophy he’s been craving.
