Daniel Clemente

It was a slow hand at the start, much like the last few hours. The board was out and complete and reading AsAdQdKsKh when Hassan Hakim bet big for 650,000 from the small blind. Daniel Clemente moved in for 960,000 total and Hakim called.

Clemente flipped up Ac7s for a full house aces full of kings and Hakim got his cards in the muck faster than the dealer could catch them to show them.

The end result was a lot of chips going back over to Clemente.

Daniel Clemente – 2,925,000 (98 bb)
Hassan Hakim – 1,600,000 (53 bb)

Edgardo Rosario

Edgardo Rosario and Daniel Clemente were heads up with the flop reading 5h5d2c and Rosario put his last 275,000 in the middle. Clemente called and the hands were flipped up.

Rosario: As5s
Clemente: AhKh

Rosario outflopped Clemente’s bigger ace. His trip fives were good and the case 5c came on the turn for the overkill. The river 6s finished the board and Rosario doubled up.

“Only quads,” Clemente laughed.

Edgardo Rosario – 625,000 (21 bb)
Daniel Clemente – 1,800,000 (60 bb)

Alan Thomas

After taking a big chunk out of Daniel Clemente, John Jensen was in a pot with Alan Thomas to a Jh7c5d flop. Thomas checked from the small blind, Jensen bet 325,000 and Thomas moved all in for 385,000 to get a quick call.

Thomas: 5h5s
Jensen: Jd5c

Thomas hit the case five for a set against Jensen’s two pair jacks and fives. The Qh turn and 6d river finished the board and Thomas had his double up.

Alan Thomas – 920,000 (37 bb)
John Jensen – 2,800,000 (112 bb)

James Wong

It was three-way to a TcTs3s flop and Hassan Hakim checked from the big blind. James Wong moved all in for about 350,000 and John Jensen called before Hakim quickly folded.

Jensen tabled 6c6d and Wong made a sound of pain before showing his smaller pair 5c5h. The 6s turn gave Jensen a full house sixes over tens and locked up the hand before the Ac river finished the board to send Wong out in 12th place.

John Jensen – 1,800,000 (72 bb)
James Wong – Eliminated in 12th Place ($3,040)

Rotem Halbani

Rotem Halbani opened under the gun and Albennes Armstrong three-bet to 185,000 from the middle position. Halbani came along to the Js6h5s flop and checked. Armstrong bet 200,000 and Halbani called.

The turn was 3s, Halbani checked, and Armstrong moved all in. Halbani thought for a minute and called with a similar stack.

Halbani: 9h9d
Armstrong: AcAd

Halbani ran into a monster and the 7d river finished the board. After counting down the stacks, Armstrong was all in for 400,000 and Halbani was left with 20,000 behind.

That went into the ante for the next hand when Fernando Rodriguez moved all in for 205,000 and Scott Woodring called in the small blind.

Woodring: 8d8c
Halbani: As3h
Rodriguez: Jh4h

There were a lot of different scenarios with those hands but Woodring’s eights held on the Kc6s3c5s6c run out to give him the pot while sending Halbani out in 15th place and Rodriguez in 14th.

Scott Woodring – 2,200,000 (110 bb)
Albennes Armstrong – 1,620,000 (81 bb)

Hassan Hakim

Anthony Pellegrini was eliminated on the first hand after dinner and that was followed by another big hand over on Table 22. Hassan Hakim and Aiping Jiang tangled in a huge pot that was a flip for a lot of chips with Hakim all in for 755,000.

Hakim: 8h8c
Jiang: AsKs

Hakim needed to fade the suited over cards, the QcQdJs flop was safe but gave Jiang a lot of out. He added a spade draw on the 2s turn but Hakim doubled big after the 6d river.

Jiang was knocked down to less than 10 big blinds and gone soon after.
