Event 1: Alan Thomas Triples Up; Edgardo Rosario Makes a Comeback

$400 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$50,000 Guaranteed | Structure | Payouts
Level 24:  15,000/30,000 with a 30,000 ante
Players Remaining:  10 of 618

Alan Thomas

Alan Thomas open-shoved for 255,000 from the button and Hassan Hakim called from the small blind. Edgardo Rosario moved all in for 275,000 from the big blind and Hakim called the extra 20K.

Thomas: QhTh
Hakim: 3s3d
Rosario: JhJd

Thomas was in trouble but caught a queen on the AdQd2c flop. The board finished Tc turn and 8c river for his triple up. Rosario had 20,000 left after sending chips to Thomas and Hakim paid him the 20K.

Rosarios was down to 40,000 in the small blind found a couple double ups and was up to 385,000 was he moved all in again. Daniel Clemente called trying once again to knock Rosario out.

Clemente: 6d6h
Rosario: Th8c

It was an unconventional race and Rosario saw a ten in the window on the TcQd4d flop. The Ks turn and Qc river were safe and Rosario was back in the game.

After that hand, players were sent on a 10-minute break and we will update counts while they are gone.

Event 1: Juan Carlos Ramirez Doubles Through Dave Edwards

$400 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$50,000 Guaranteed | Structure | Payouts
Level 24:  15,000/30,000 with a 30,000 ante
Players Remaining:  10 of 618

Juan Carlos Ramirez

It was three-ways to a Th4d4c flop when Scott Woodring bet 175,000 from the small blind. Dave Edwards called and Juan Carlos Ramirez moved all in for 1,175,000. Woodring folded and Edwards snapped called.

Ramirez flipped over QcQs and Edwards looked at this hand.

“Oh no,” Edwards said with some dismay. “I misread my hand.”

He flipped over Ah5h.

“I thought I had aces.” Edwards said.

He did not have aces.

The table was still talking about it was the board finished 8d turn and 5s river. A tough spot for a live misclick but Edwards still had chips.

Juan Carlos Ramirez – 2,600,000 (87 bb)
Dave Edwards – 525,000 (18 bb)
