$490 + $45 + $20 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Blinds 3k/6k/1k
Just after the bubble breaks, the largest pot the tournament produces a new chip leader.
Stephen Diamantas (Tampa) raises preflop and gets multiple callers. Diamantas and Jimmy Dowda (Groveland) are heads up on the turn with the board showing Q-7-3-7 and Dowda leading for 25k.
“I ripped it (all in) and he called,” says Diamantas who turns over A7 for trip 7s.
“I only had 50-something behind,” says Dowda, who was too invested in the pot to fold his AQ for top pair-top kicker. Dowda’s drawing dead and knocked out in 31st place for $994.
The 300k+ pot takes Diamantas gives him the chip lead with 358k.
