The 2022 Tampa Winter Poker Open was our last major series of the year and it was another great turnout by our players, outstanding from start to finish. We came up just ten entries shy of 2,500 for the series and we awarded more than $1.5 million in prize money.

Numbers are one thing but the series also produced some great stories. Raminder Singh captured the $1,100 Deep Stack for his fourth major Tampa title and 14 overall across all our Seminole Hard Rock Poker rooms.

We ran three one-day tournaments leading up to the WPO Championship with escalating buy-ins; a $600 Deep Stack followed by an $1,100 and $2,200. Adam Jaffe final tabled all three and then took home the trophy in the $2,200.

The opening event of the series drew 1,334 entries over six starting flights and Julio Delgado dominated late to take the title. Jordan Joeckel won the Limit Omaha 8 tournament and finished sixth in the Mixed Pot Limit Omaha the next evening.

But the star of the series with the $500,000 guaranteed WPO Championship that drew 471 entries over the three starting days. Local cash game regular Ken McAdams ran pure at the final table and booked the $108,000 victory.
