Jordan Joeckel

The Tampa Winter Poker Open $400 Limit Omaha 8 tournament drew 52 entries to beat its $10,000 guarantee and create a prize pool worth $17,420. Jordan Joeckel began the final table with the shortest stack but caught a quick double, then rode it to the Event 3 title after a heads-up deal.

While Joeckel needed help to start the final table, Keith Austin had a huge lead at the time. But Patty Verbock went to work chopping down his stack and Austin finished in seventh place.

After four-time Hollywood Omaha champ John Binns was eliminated in third place, Joeckel and Verbock quickly came to terms for dividing up the remaining prize pool.

Verbock earned $4,715 for her runner-up finish while late chip leader Joeckel walked away with $5,165 and the Tampa WPO trophy.
