Action is back underway in Level 4 with 93 entries and they’ve put nearly $140K towards the $500,000 guarantee already. A great start to Championship.

Joseph Parrish is the early leader for Day 1A after turning his 40K starting stack into 98,300 over three levels. Robert Lebeau is second with 84,300 followed by Jordan Lowrey’s 82,000 and a few right behind.

We are looking at a great turnout for the start of the TPC Championship with 77 entries after the first hour of registration. There’s plenty of time to run it up and a great weekend is in the works.

The last multi-flight before the TPC Championship drew 760 entries for a $200 buy-in tournament. They crushed the $50,000 and Roberto Cotto was the last player standing, taking the outright win for $22,200 late Wednesday evening.

The last warmup before the TPC Championship was the $1,100 One-Day Challenge and we had a huge turnout with 152 entries. Tampa favorite Fred Paradis added to an already successful run with his second series trophy after an outright win saw him earn another $36,510.

In addition to this win, Paradis captured the TPC Event 1 title for nearly $92,000 and was our WPT Tampa Championship runner-up a few months ago.

Championship Day 1A: Kicking Off the Big Game

The preliminaries are complete, and today, we kick off the 2023 Tampa Poker Classic Championship at 11 am and expect a great closing weekend. The $1,700 buy-in tournament has a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool and three starting flights.

Players start with 40,000 in their stacks and all Day 1 levels last 40 minutes, increasing to 60 minutes for the last two days of the tournament. Late registration is available until the start of Level 10 at 5:45 pm and players may re-enter as often as needed during that time.

Flight A will come to an end after Level 12 and survivors will bag their chips for a Day 2 return on Sunday.
