Flight A of the TPC Championship came to an end with 36 players advancing to Day 2 on Sunday at noon. Pinktober Poker Open Champion Matthew Leecy bagged the overall lead with 297,500 closing followed by Peter Vitantonio with 295,500.

Flight A reached the last level of the night and players will make moves to build a big bag for Day 2. WPO Championship final table member Jordan Lowery is moving in the right direction, he is up to 266,500 with less than an hour to go.

Flight A will play through Level 12 before survivors bag up for a Day 2 return on Sunday at noon.

The last break of Flight A is complete and the clock shows an unofficial 134 entries with two more to go. More than $200,000 was put toward the $500,000 guarantee and we will probably get there tomorrow.

We’ve had a new big stack at each break and this time around it’s Michael Vincent’s 285,000 way in front of the rest of the field. Ken O’Donnell is second with 217,000 followed by Darrin Hrynchak (181,500), Jacob Naumann (173,500), and Bryce McVay (164,000).

They will finish out three more levels before survivors bag their chips for the Day 2 return on Sunday at noon.

The clock is ticking down toward the end of registration for Flight A. They will play out the rest of Level 9, take a 15-minute break, and registration will close at 5:45 pm when Level 10 gets underway.

Former Tampa champ Bryce McVay is making another TPC Championship run. He finished second in this event last year and has his stack up to 195,000 in the late stages of the day.

Raminder Singh is the latest to move among the big stacks, the Hard Rock Poker trophy collector is up to 102,000 in the middle stages of the day. WPT Champ/WSOP bracelet winner James Calderaro joined during the second break and already up to 70,000.
