Ricardo Rodriguez got his chips in the middle holding pocket Queens, but ran into Enzo Romano’s pocket Kings.

The board ran out 4 4 2 4 3 and made no difference.  Enzo had Ricardo covered and chipped up to about 350k, good for the chip lead.

Ricardo busted out in 9th place, earning $1,125.

Players can opt to re-enter multiple times and if they bag chips in more than one flight, they will take their best stack into Day 2 (no combining chips from multiple flights).

Oliver Arcand (Orlando, FL via Montreal) is the overall chip leader after bagging an impressive 255k (64 bb) in Flight B. That’s well ahead of Chris Carlson’s Flight B second place stack of 139k and Flight A chip leader Kaleb Hanshaw’s 190k.

“I had a couple of good hands,” said Arcand whose biggest pot involved a little luck. He held AK against pocket Jacks, but quad 7s on the board put Arcand’s Ace kicker in play to win a 100k chip pot.

Arcand earned himself a $1,100 seat into Event 9 (June 8-9) along with two days off before returning for Thursday’s Day 2.

A total of 35 players advanced from Flights A & B.
