Players are back from their second break and registration has closed with 70 total entries.

On the last hand before the break, a huge hand played out on table 2.  Three players were all-in:

Ronald Brown:  QQ

Seat 4:  AJ suited

Board: K 7 7 A 8

Manny (pictured above) flopped a full house to put a hammer-lock on the hand.  His opponents were left needing perfect-perfect, which didn’t happen.

Manny chipped up to 94,700, good for the chip lead.

Ronald was left short-stacked, and seat 4 was busted.

Event 3: Registration Closed; New Chip Leader

Registration has closed for Flight A with 152 entries, but Flight B is coming up in less than an hour at 6pm.

Today’s only secondary event is about to get busy in the back of the tournament area, just outside the Rise Kitchen & Bakery.

1 in 20 players will win a $3,500 seat in the Championship event (June 12-18).  Two seats are guaranteed to be awarded.

Players get 10,000 in chips to start and all levels are 20 minutes long.  Late registration and re-entry are available until the start of level 7 (about 5:30pm).

Blinds are up for the Big Stack players.  There are 40 entries so far in this event.

The chip leader at the end of each of the six starting flights will receive an $1,100 seat in Event 9, $75,000 Guaranteed NLH event on Sunday, June 8th at 2pm.

Day 1 will end at the completion of level 16 (about 9pm).  If they reach 12% of the number of entries, play will halt early for Flight A.

All subsequent flights will play the same amount of time as Flight A.
