We missed the important mechanics of the hand but found the end result. Starting Day 2 chip leader Milind Naik was packing up his bag for a trip to the payout desk while Austin Srur was stacking up over a million.

Tom McDonald opened to 16,000 from under the gun and Thivyanathan moved all in for 213,000 next to act. It folded back around to McDonald, he checked out Thivyanathan’s stack, and called to put him at risk.

Three starting flights are down for the TPC Championship and all 47 survivors return today for Day 2 at noon. They are in the money, guaranteed at least $3,170 but they have $109,110 waiting for the champ.

They will play the last 5:28 of Level 14 before blinds go up to 3,000/6,000 with a 6,000 ante. The structure has them playing down to the final table or Level 29, whichever comes last, and they might just play down to the winner for a day off tomorrow.
