Registration closed for Flight A of the 2021 Tampa Winter Poker Open Main Event with 172 entries. They put $266,600 in the bank and they will cross over the $500,000 guarantee tomorrow in Flight B.

They will continue this evening through Level 14 and survivors will bag their chips for a Day 2 return on Sunday at noon.

Cards are back in the air after the dinner break and registration closed for Flight A of the WPO Main Event. Tournament staff are checking the numbers before we announce the official count.

We do know who’s leading and we have another new name at the top. Garrett Vollmar was stacked the biggest and comes back to the late levels with 244,000.

Main Event players are now taking their 60-minute dinner break. When they return, registration will close for Flight A but there are two more flights to go this weekend.

They have combined to put more than $250,000 towards the $500,000 guarantee and it should get there early tomorrow afternoon.

Flight A reached the ninth level of the day and time is running out if you want to try for an early bag. Registration will close at the start of Level 10 after the hour-long dinner break.

Two more former Tampa champs are in the field this afternoon. James Kerr has three different trophies from three different series, the most recent coming with a win in the Tampa Poker Classic Main Event for $228K. Bryce McVay has two Tampa wins including a guitar from the 2016 Winter Poker Open.
