The tournament has a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool that should be beat early and a lot of talent will be in the room.

They will start with 30,000 stacks and run 40-minute levels from start to finish. Late registration and re-entries are available until the start of Day 2 tomorrow with Day 1 coming to an end after Level 12.

We have another 500+ entries in a field and the combined total for the Monster Stack now stands at 1,111. With another 100 or so entries, the prize pool will officially double the $200,000 guarantee.

We found a few more Tampa regulars in the field including two with a lot of success. Jeremy Becker is the current Tournament Leaderboard champ from December through January, defending his title from the period before. For the award, Becker earned a freeroll into the $1,000,000 guarantee WSOP Circuit Main Event starting on Friday.

Anthony Astarita already has a big tournament win on property; he won the WPTDeepStacks Tampa Main Event is 2016 for a nice $131,000 payday.

Michael Tait

The $200,000 guarantee was long gone before the start of Flight B and the prize pool crossed the $300,000 mark before the first 90 minutes of the day were in the books. It’s ramping up to be another huge day in the Event Center.

We found a couple players with big final table appearance already in the series. Michael Tait cruised to the $600 Six-Handed final table and was unlucky to go out in sixth place. Massimo Dirienzo made the massive Double Stack final table and finished fifth out of 2,433 for a $60K pay day.

Level 1:  100/100

Today we roll out the second flight of the WSOP Circuit Monster Stack and there’s little drama over hitting the $200,000 guaranteed prize pool. With 574 entries in yesterday’s flight, only 33 more are needed today to make the mark and there will be that many registered before cards go in the air.

Now we’ll see how big they can make it.

They will start with 30,000 stacks and the first 24 levels last 30 minutes before increasing to 45 from Level 25 forward. Late registration is available until the start of Level 13 at 6pm following a  30-minute dinner break and they can re-enter as often as needed during that time.

The flight will come to an end once the field hits 8% or the end of Level 24, whichever comes first.
