$360 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry) $250,000 Guaranteed | Structure Level 3: 100/200 with a 200 ante Flight G Entries: 193 (Total Entries: 865)
The Poker Room is already packed and we continue to put more backsides in seats. We found one who knows success in this tournament and this series.
Last year, this tournament had a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool and an added WPTDeepStacks Tampa Main Event seat added. Quentin Jones outlasted the 560-entry field to take the title along with $31,000 and the Main Event seat.
$360 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry) $250,000 Guaranteed | Structure Level 1: 100/100 Flight G Entries: 162 (Total Entries: 834)
Flight G got there in a hurry. Before Level 1 ran its course, entry number 162 joined the field to officially push the Event 1 prize pool over the $250,000 Guarantee and now they begin pushing it higher and higher.
$360 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry) $250,000 Guaranteed | Structure Level 1: 100/100 Flight G Entries: 124 (Total Entries: 796)
After a short delay to get everyone in the correct place and issue player instructions, cards are in the air for the last flight of Event 1 and it is a big one. We have 124 in action at the start with a healthy line waiting to join them.
We have only one tournament in the Poker Room today but it will be a big one. It is the final flight of the WPTDeepStacks Tampa opening event and Saturday afternoon poker will bring out the crowd.
The first six flights drew 672 entries into the $360 buy-in tournament and Event 1 will hit its $250,000 later this afternoon when today’s count hits 162. Then they will begin pushing the prize pool higher and higher.
They’ll play out today like the previous days. Entrants will start with 20,000 deep stacks and play 30-minute levels. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 around 3:30 pm and Flight G will wrap at the end of Level 14. At that point, we will know the identity of everyone returning for Day 2 tomorrow at 11 am.
Cards fly at 11 am and we will be here from start to finish.
$360 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry) $250,000 Guaranteed | Structure Level 14: 1,500/3,000 with a 3,000 ante Flight E Players Remaining: 16 of 116
Flight E has come to an end with another 16 players advancing to Day 2 on Sunday. Forrest Raleigh held the lead for most of the last part of the day but Matthew Kerley stormed ahead and bagged 292,000. Raleigh is still ok with 241,000 with Michael Beattie, Romel Huelga, and Panthep Ritthisorn rounding out the top five stacks.
Once all the counts are collected, we will post a full list of all who advanced so far.
Time is running out to get a piece of the big opening tournament prize pool. WPTDeepStacks Tampa Event 1 is down to the last two starting flights with Flight F ready to go in the back of the Poker Room. The tournament has 499 entries so far and tonight will go a long way to hitting the $250,000 guaranteed prize pool.
They’ll start out with 20,000 deep stacks and play 30-minute levels from start to finish. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 around 6:30 pm and the flight will come to an end after Level 14. Any survivors will bag up and return on Sunday for Day 2.
