He’s up to 210,000 with less than an hour remaining.

They got there. With barely a sweat over the last level, Flight G pushed the combined entry count of Event 1 over 1,000 with a baker’s dozen to spare. We will wait for the confirmed numbers and post them along with the payout information.

We have two new big stacks and with a pair of Mikes. Mike Warren is the top stack in the room with 142,500 and Mike Vadala is not far behind with 135,000.

Everyone remaining has six more levels to run to catch them and put together a big bag for tomorrow.

Event 1 Flight G: Wiggins Looking for First Big Tampa Score

$250,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 6: 300/500 with a 500 ante
Flight G Entries: 285 (Total Entries: 957)

Willie Wiggins

The count keeps climbing and four-digit territory is in play if we catch another big run at the registration desk. It’s a long shot but you can never tell what will happen as time runs out on the final flight of Event 1.

Willie Wiggins is taking his shot this afternoon in an attempt to book his first major cash in this room. The South Florida pro has plenty of big scores at our sister property in Hollywood, including a $176K cash in January, but he’s still looking for that big number on the west coast of Florida.

Event 1 Flight G: Massimo Dirienzo Up Big

$250,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 5: 200/400 with a 400 ante
Flight G Entries: 272 (Total Entries: 944)

Massimo Dirienzo

Cards are back in the air after the first break. We searched the room for the biggest stack and found a big one. With a few stacks in the 70K range, Massimo Dirienzo eclipsed them all. He ran his 20,000 starting stack up for 116,500 in two hours for a great start.

The Poker Room is jammed from front-to-back and a little side-to-side. We have 24 tables in use at the moment including 22 in the string on one side of the room and a little overflow to the main cash game section.

We have dead on 900 entries in the tournament at the moment and a steady group at the registration desk.
