The clock strikes 12-noon in Tampa and Day 2 of the WPTDeepStacks $570 Deep Stack is underway. The event kicked off Thursday with the first of six starting flights and went on to draw a massive field of 738 entries. The strong turnout generated a prize pool of $369,000 that handily bested the $200,000 guarantee. Only the top 72 in today’s Day 2 pay with a min-cash worth $1,070. The champion, meanwhile, pockets $85,640 along with a guitar trophy.
Beginning the restart with the chip lead is Carlos Rodriguez Rojas. Rojas, who played last night’s Flight F, sits on 285,000 and is one of nine players who owns over 200,000.
