Brandon Byars is in the midst of his second entry in the Winter Poker Open $570. His first came last night and he played all the way to the 10-minute hard stop. After nearly eight hours of action and with only two hands remaining in the night, he got his stack all-in with queens and was bested by his opponent’s kings. Despite the brutal beat ending his hopes at a bag, Byars returned today to give it another shot.
He had his stack up to over 100,000 yesterday, so he’s set the bar heading to today’s play . While he’s not quite to six figures, he sits at roughly 80,000.

Manjura resides nearby the Seminole Hard Rock and has played his share of tournaments in the region’s premiere room. With two guitar trophies already to his name, Manjura hopes the fast start in Flight E is a sign of good things to come.

While he’s had no luck yet this year, Alegria has had a good go of tournaments dating back to August of 2016 (his first reported cash). Alegria is primarily a cash game player, but got the taste of tournament play when he final tabled this event last year and followed it up with another final table appearance in the Main Event. It was a long day for the players, especially for those that ran deep. Despite the lack of sleep, there’s a handful of Pot Limit Omaha cashers that we see here in today’s $570 Flight E.
Wagner Wysotchanski made the final table before finishing seventh. Martin Markov and Jeffrey Higgins, meanwhile, finished 14th and 18th respectively.
