Championship: Bradshaw Eliminates Laake 31st, Bunkley 30th to Take Lead

$1,650 WPO Championship (Re-Entry)
Level 21: 6,000/12,000 with a 2,000 ante

David Bradshaw

David Bradshaw opened under the gun for an unknown amount and Seminole Hard Rock Poker team member Mike Laake shoved about 180,000 from the cutoff. Antuan Bunkley was in the big blind and moved all-in for just over 600,000. It was back on Bradshaw and he called.

Bradshaw: AsAc
Bunkley: QhQd
Laake: AdTs

Runout: AhJdTc2s8h

Bradshaw’s trips were good and he eliminated both players while growing his stack well up over 1,000,000.

David Bradshaw – 1,450,000 (121 bb)
Antuan Bunkley – Eliminated in 30th place ($4,034)
Mike Laake – Eliminated in 31st place ($4,034)

Championship: Jaeli Moron Takes Chip Lead in Double Elimination

$1,650 WPO Championship (Re-Entry)
Level 21: 6,000/12,000 with a 2,000 ante
Players Remaining: 32 of 489

Jaeli Moron

As recapped by the table, Jaeli Moron held AsJs on a 9c7s4s flop. Two opponents — one with KxKx and another with AhJh — were at risk. Moron had both covered and spiked the Ts on the turn completing his flush. The river finished the board with a blank and Moron scored a double elimination and took a massive pot.

His stack currently sits at 1,360,000 which is good enough for the chip lead.

Jaeli Moron – 1,360,000 (113 bb)

Championship: Snider Doubles through Chan

$1,650 WPO Championship (Re-Entry)
Level 21: 6,000/12,000 with a 2,000 ante
Players Remaining: 36 of 489

Bradley Snider

Bradley Snider, who won this summer’s Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open $2,650 which ran as part of The Big 4, recently doubled through Kevin Chan.

The hand saw Chan open from early position to 26,000. Snider called the button and Russ Head came along from the big blind.

Flop: Qc8c3s — Head checked. Chan C-bet 35,000. Snider called sending it back to Head who called as well.

Turn: Qc8c3s4s — Head checked again. Chan bet 110,000. Snider called leaving himself just about 220,000 behind. Head got out of the way and Chan and Snider were heads up to the river.

River: Qc8c3s4sQh — Chan open-shoved and Snider snap called.

Snider: AhQs for trips
Chan: AcKd for ace-king high

Snider doubled through Chan.

Bradley Snider – 865,000 (72 bb)
Kevin Chan – 599,000 (49 bb)

$1,650 WPO Championship (Re-Entry)
Level 20: 5,000/10,000 with a 1,000 ante
Players Remaining: 37 of 489

Ryan Van Sanford

We returned to the tournament floor after posting the bubble information and found Ryan Van Sanford seated next to Moe Affaneh. Van Sanford’s stack was significantly shorter than the last time we looked and many appear to belong to Affaneh now, with his 1.2 million.

Van Sanford moved all-in for 196,000 after Kevin Chan opened to 23,000 and the shove was called after a few moments.

Chan: 7d7s
Van Sanford: 6d6c

It was a tough spot for Van Sanford and he couldn’t catch up as the board ran out 9s4s2c2s8c to send the former chip leader out.

Championship players are now on a 60-minute dinner break with 37 remaining. Next stop, the final table.

Kevin Chan – 990,000 (99 bb)
Ryan Van Sanford – Eliminated in 39th place ($3,668)

Championship: In the Money

John O’Neal (left) puts the Championship in the money

It didn’t take long for the money bubble to burst, it took longer to get them settled and playing than the actual act. John O’Neal was in the small blind and put the big blind all-in for his final 30,000. After the rest of the tables completed their action, the cards were flipped.

O’Neal: Ac7s
Opponent: Kh2d

O’Neal was ahead and the board ran clean Jd8h6d5h7c to push O’Neal up to 480,000 and put the remaining 45 players in the money.

One really happy player was Seminole Hard Rock Poker team member Jessica Dawley. She was sweating the money bubble and slid into the money with her last 15,000.

Jessica Dawley will now try to turn 15K in chips into $187K in dollars

Championship: Money Bubble Time

$1,650 WPO Championship (Re-Entry)
Level 20: 5,000/10,000 with a 1,000 ante
Players Remaining: 46 of 489

Al Perez

The Championship is now on the money bubble with 46 players remaining and 45 getting paid. They got there when a couple favorites hit the rail.

Zo Karim’s day ended earlier than he wanted when he lost a race with 9d9h against AcKc. Soon after, Al Perez was all-in against Shawn Barnett looking at a chop.

Barnett: AhQh
Perez: AsQd

The 7h5h4h flop was unkind for the SHRP regular and he picked up a single chop out on the 3h turn. The bad beat was complete on the Qs river to put the field on the bubble.

Championship: Defending Champ Templeton Eliminated

$1,650 WPO Championship (Re-Entry)
Level 19: 4,000/8,000 with a 1,000 ante
Players Remaining: 52 of 489

John Templeton

We will have a brand new Winter Poker Open title holder after defending champ John Templeton was eliminated. to 97,000 when he moved all-in and Russ Head was waiting with a big hand.

Head: QcQd
Templeton: Td9h

Templeton needed a lot of help to stay in the game but missed the AhJd6c flop. He caught a sweat on the Th turn but blanked the Kh river to exit short of the money.

Russ Head – 260,000 (33 bb)
John Templeton – Eliminated
