Ferro: Th9s
Mehta: 9c7c

Ferro flopped a ten and turned a straight but Mehta was ahead with his club flush. The 4h river finished the board and Ferro was eliminated in 17th place.

Sanjib Acharya

Players were getting their chips in quick after the break and three tough players were already out before another big hand.

With the flop reading Jd9s5s, Shane Barnard found himself all in and at risk for 325,000 and Sanjib Acharya quickly called.

“Oh. I guess I’m behind,” Barnard said.

Acharya: AsJs
Barnard: JhTd

Both paired their jack but Acharya was way ahead with the ace kicker and spade redraw. Barnard had two outs twice and blanked the 6c turn and 5h river to go out in 21st.

Chris Stanton – 515,000 (34 bb)
Ryan Luker – 260,000 (17 bb)

After the hand, tournament staff sent the field on break as they colored off the 1K chips and introduced the 100K variant. Yazdi Mehta continued to lead with 1,840,000 while the others were trying to reach a million.

Mehta: AcTs

Luker: AsAc
