Adam Jaffe

The last warmup before the 2022 Tampa Winter Poker Open Championship was a $2,200 buy-in Deep Stack with a big $100,000 prize pool. After a tough final table, Adam Jaffe took the top spot for $32,000 after a heads-up deal with Joel Deutsch.

We ran five No Limit Hold’em on the early part of the schedule and Jaffe made the final table in three of those; second place in the $600 Deep Stack, seventh in the $1,100 Deep Stack, and now he owns a WPO trophy.

A great way to roll into Championship weekend; congrats!

Angela Jordison

The second break ended and we closed the doors on Event 7 with 46 entries leaving us a little shy of the mark. That means we will be adding some money to the prize pool and paying out the full $100,000.

We will post the payout information as soon as it is available.

We found Angela Jordison in town, ready to grind this $2,200 today and $1,700 WPO Championship this weekend. She currently sits atop two GPI leaderboards; number one in Mid-Majors and number one in the Female Player of the Year race.

Both tournaments qualify so she’ll be looking to solidify her spot at the top.

Joel Deutsch

Event 7 is through to Level 8 and time is running out if you want in this big buy-in game. There are currently 42 entries and the field is down to three tables, so there’s some free money on the line and not a lot of players to get through.

Among those still here, we have Joel Deutsch, David Meagher, Manny Minaya, Ryan Hogan, Bryce McVay, Clyde Maliauka, Doug Marro, and Event 6 champ Raminder Singh.

Deutsch is having a fine time of it today with over 200K heading into the second break.
