Flight B nearly doubled its entry count in the first 30 minutes, players are starting to wake up and make their way to the Poker Room.

Two early entrants are looking for their second win of the series. Michael Laake won the first trophy of the series in the $400 Limit Omaha 8 tournament and Jerry Silva won the $400 Deep Stack a few days later.

Flight B of the 2023 Tampa Poker Classic Championship gets underway at the top of the hour and they $1,700 buy-in tournament will be chasing its $500,000 guarantee. After 134 entries turned out for Flight A, only 199 more are needed between today and tomorrow’s flight. We are drawing live to hitting it today.

They’ll start with 40K in their stacks and all Day 1 levels last 40 minutes, increasing to 60 minute on Day 2. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 12 at 5:45 pm. Flight B will play 12 levels before survivors bag their chips for Day 2 on Sunday at noon.

Flight A of the TPC Championship came to an end with 36 players advancing to Day 2 on Sunday at noon. Pinktober Poker Open Champion Matthew Leecy bagged the overall lead with 297,500 closing followed by Peter Vitantonio with 295,500.

The clock was paused with ten minutes remaining and each table will deal four more hands. Those with chips at the end of those hands will bag them up for a Day 2 return on Sunday.
