Event 1: Shots For Table 11

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

Level 5:  Blinds 150/300/25 ante

Table 11 didn’t need any help perking up, but with the addition of Adam ‘megalodon’ Santos, it has gotten even more rowdy.

“Look at all these sharks,” Adam said, pointing to his tablemates Peter Walsworth, Filip Khavin, Joe Gibbons, and Jeff Trudeau.

Joe and Adam got to the turn on a board of Ts5d2dTh.  Joe asked what Adam had left and it was just two gray chips (10k).  Adam kept trying to put them in the pot and the dealer kept pushing them back since the action was on Joe.

“Ok, I check” Joe said and then Adam pushed his last 10k out.  “You’ve got hooks,” Joe said.  “I’ve got one hook and you’ve got a flush draw, so I’m ahead,” Adam replied.

The table had ordered a round of 1800 tequila shots and the server was delivering them during this hand.  Joe told the table he was going to wait to make his decision until after he did his shot.  Nine players raised their glasses (Adam does not drink, so he abstained) and downed their shots.  Joe put his empty glass on the table and said “Call!” as the threw down his Kd9d.

True to his word, Adam tabled JcTc for trip Tens with one hook.  “Diamond!” called Joe.  Sure enough the river delivered the 4d and once again the table erupted.  Adam was busted — not sure if he’s planning to re-enter.

Event 1: Tough Table

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

Level 4:  Blinds 100/200

Table 11

Table 11 has turned into a monster with regulars Natasha Barbour, Peter Walsworth, Filip Khavin, Joe Gibbons, and Jeff Trudeau.

In the previous level, Joe and Natasha got to the river with a board of AhKs3d2cAs.  Joe bet 3,500 and Natasha raised to 13,500.

Joe tanked for a minute, then asked Natasha if she would show her hand if he folded.  She agreed and Joe folded pocket 4s.  Natasha showed Tc4c for squa-doosh as she collected the pot.

Seemingly on tilt, Joe shoved his last ~10k on the next hand, over the top of Peter’s opening raise.  Peter called, showing pocket Queens.  Joe had Ts9s.

“Watch this,” Joe said, and when the flop came 8s7h6d giving him a straight, the table erupted.  After the 4d and 5d completed the board, Joe collected his double-up and the rest of the table went back to trying to get their drink orders in.
