Chris Kobil thought he might ladder up a spot after Jay Giles lost a hand to leave him with just 4,000. Giles managed a quadruple-up and Kobil took a shot soon after for his final 50,000.

He picked up four other callers and the five of them saw the flop before Griffin Arnold moved all-in. The three other players let it go and Arnold tabled Aces up . Kobil needed a lot help with his middle pair and had four outs after the turn. He couldn’t boat up on the river and was gone in 9th place.
