TODAY’S EVENTS in the Poker Room

11AM: Event 1C: $560 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$100,000 GUARANTEED PRIZE POOL

  • Players start with 15,000 in tournament chips
  • Day 1 Levels: will last 30 minutes each | Day 2 Levels: will last 40 minutes each
  • Registration is open through the first five (5) Levels
  • Players that bust within the first five (5) Levels may Re-Enter the tournament as a new player
  • Players participating in multiple Day 1 flights may choose their “best” stack for Day 2
  • This is a two-day tournament with three starting flights.
    Day 2 is Sunday, March 9 at 10AM
  • Event Structure

  7PM: Event 2:  $210  Pot Limit Omaha (Re-Entry)

  • Players start with 10,000 in tournament chips
  • Levels will last 30 minutes each
  • Registration is open through the first five (5) Levels
  • Players that bust within the first five (5) Levels may Re-Enter the tournament as a new player
  • This is a 1-day tournament
  • Winner will receive $1,650 entry into WPT Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Spring Poker Open Championship

60 players showed up on Friday night for the second flight of the first event of the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Spring Poker Open, a $560 No Limit Hold’em tournament with a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Cards got in the air at 7 pm and after 14 levels of play, only nine remain. Those nine players will return for the second and final day of the tournament on Sunday morning at 10 am. They will combine with the 14 survivors of the first flight, which took place on Friday morning and the survivors of the third flight, which will take place on Saturday morning to compete for the lion’s share of the prizepool.

Oscar Lindo is the chip leader of the second flight, but still trails John Pappas for chip lead of the overall tournament. Here are a look at the official chip counts for second flight.

Let The Games Begin!

Flight 1 of the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Spring Poker Open kickoff event is underway!  Event 1 players are starting with 15,000 chips and Day 1 levels are 30 minutes long.

Level 1 blinds are 50/100.

They’ll play 14 levels or until down to 14% of the field before bagging up for the night.

Late registration and re-entry for players who bust out are available until the start of level 5 (about 1:20pm)

Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Spring Poker Open 

Participants for any event held during the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Spring Poker Open tournament series will earn Leaderboard points.

Every time you enter a poker tournament during Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Spring Poker Open,  you will be awarded Tournament Leaderboard Points (TP).  When you cash in a tournament, you will receive Tournament Bonus Points (TBP).  How many TP and TBP you receive will vary depending on the tournament buy-in amount, the number of entries in the tournament, and the cash place finished.

You can qualify by participating in poker tournaments starting on March 7 through March 16, 2014.

Here’s how you can participate:

By entering Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Spring Poker Open tournament and satellite events, you will earn points based upon the Seminole Hard Rock Poker tournament leaderboard formula which takes into consideration the following criteria:

  • Tournament buy-in
  • Total entries
  • Cash place finished

 Prizes:

Prizes will be awarded to the top 10 finishers:

  • 1st place:  $3,500 entry into the $5 Million Guaranteed WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship
    (April 10-16, 2014)
  • 2nd places:  $2,200 entry into the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Six-Max NLH event 12 (April 6, 2014)
  • 3rd – 10th places:  $385  entry into a Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Satellite held in the Tampa Poker Room (April 1, 2, 3, 6, 7 or 8)
