Q&A with Jessica
Favorite Musical Artist?
“I’m a big country music fan. Guys like Garth Brooks because his songs tell a story, but I really love Kip Moore. He was the only time I was star struck when he came into Council Oak. His songs are just fun, like when you’re getting ready to go out it gets you pumped up.”
Hobby?
“I’m really into physical fitness. I love CrossFit, pilates, yoga and just started boxing. It’s a great stress reliever and if I’m going to get mugged, I’ll know how to handle my self.
“Competing in CrossFit is a little addicting. I like to improve on my personal goals. Before I started I could barely lift anything above my head, now I can do 50 butterfly pullups in row. It’s all about body control.”

“The whole process is amazing and to be a part of it is wonderful. I really enjoy Gasparilla (Pirate Festival). The atmosphere is great and so excited to be there. We have a beautiful float.
“Being a calendar girls is a reward for all the hard work I’ve done with exercise. I know you have to be physically fit to be in the calendar.”

Mini Mac & Cheese
“I love to cook. My specialty is macaroni and cheese, not from a box, from scratch. I use sour cream, buttermilk, Monterey, pepper jack, sharp cheddar. And the crust is Ritz crackers. I make them in muffin tins for individual servings.
“You’re making me hungry!”
Experience of being a Hard Rock Calendar Girl?
“It’s so much fun. You get to be involved with so many activities. Fund raisers and charity events, you get to see the good in people, especially child welfare, things that are near and dear to my heart.
“The selection process is like a roller coaster ride. You’re anxious when it starts, you scream ‘no,’ and when it’s over it’s ‘yes.’
“From the audition, waiting to see if you made it, the photo shoot, finding out about where you are in the calendar, all that good stuff.”
