Brian Arbaugh
With 13 players remaining and only 11 moving on, action ground to a halt, and it looked like they were in for a grind to make the money.
Then things went wonky.
On Table 21, Jason Klapman found himself in huge pot with pocket kings against ace-king and ace-queen. The kings held, the chips were counted down, and Klapman sent both opponents out to put the field in the money officially.
But there was still a hand on Table 22. Over there, Brian Arbaugh had a player at risk, but it was looking like a double up for the shorter stack. Arbaugh was behind with pocket queens against pocket kings but jumped into the lead when a queen hit the flop.
Since you need to bag to advance to the money stage, his opponent was eliminated, and Flight B had only ten players move to Day 2 in the money.
Brett Apter bagged the lead, Frank Weigel is trying for his second big final table of the series, and the full chip count list will be posted shortly.

Brett Apter
Flight B of the PPO Championship took another break, likely the last for the day, with 16 players remaining and 11 booking a Day 2 seat. Brett Apter leads the field with 443,000 and a dangerous player with chips.
