Sean McCleary

Sean McCleary was all-in for his final ~80,000 and Scott “Twitch” Anderson went for the $50 bounty.

Anderson: 8c8d
McCleary: AdQd

Anderson asked the dealer for an eight or lower and was rewarded with a set on the Jd8s2s flop. McCleary was drawing thin and the 4s turn left him drawing dead to sixth place.

Scott “Twitch” Anderson – 195,000 (33 bb)
Sean McCleary – Eliminated in 6th place ($375)

Event 10: David Kolaskey – 7th Place ($288)

Level 18: 3,000/6,000 with 1,000 ante

David Kolaskey

Scott “Twitch” Anderson limped under the gun, David Kolaskey moved all-in for 48,000 next to act, and Manny Minaya three-bet to 150,000. Anderson released his hand and they were heads up.

Minaya: AhKd
Kolaskey: Ad2d

Kolaskey was dominated and nothing on the 8d7h6sThJc board changed his fate to go out in seventh place.

Manny Minaya – 560,000 (93 bb)
David Kolaskey – Eliminated in 7th place ($288)

Event 10: Karl Manouchakian – 8th Place ($231)

Karl Manouchakian

SHRP Tampa regular Karl Manouchakian put his chips in good at the final table but had to dodge the two live cards of chip leader Manny Minaya.

Minaya: Qs9h
Manouchakian: Kc4c

The Qc7s3s flop was clean for Manouchakian but the 9d was bad news. He needed to catch one of the three remaining kings but missed the 5d river to hit the payout desk in eighth place.

Manny Minaya – 420,000 (105 bb)
Karl Manouchakian – Eliminated in 8th place ($231)

Eric Wert

Former WPO champ Eric Wert open/shoved for 29,000 and Scott “Twitch” Anderson moved all-in over the top from the small blind to isolate.

Anderson: AdKs
Wert: Ah4h

It was a good JsTs4s flop for Wert but Anderson came right back on the Kc turn. Wert blanked the 9h river and he was sent out in ninth place.

Scott “Twitch” Anderson – 180,000 (60 bb)
Eric Wert – Eliminated in 9th place ($195)

Event 10: Scott Caracciolo Gets Two

$150 Double Green Chip Bounty NL Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 4: 100/200 with 25 ante
Entries: 72

Scott Caracciolo

Scott Caracciolo knows a little about success in the Double Green Chip Bounty event, he was part of a three-way even-split of this tournament during last year’s Winter Poker Open. And he’s on the right track against today and practically freerolling.

We caught the action at the end as Caracciolo was raking in a lot of chips with trip jacks and the dealer announcing two bounties. He sent two players to the rail earning $100 in casino chips and moved his stack up to 25,000.

Caracciolo added another $3,000 to his bankroll last night when he finished 14th in the multi-day $570 Deep Stack Event 7.

Event 10: The Luck of Byars

$150 Double Green Chip Bounty NL Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 3: 75/150 with 25 ante
Entries: 64

Brandon Byars

We’ve witnessed Tampa regular Brandon Byars running deep in tournaments for some big scores including a run to the last two tables in the big-field opening WPO event and a Spring Little Slick Series Main Event win in April.

But we’ve also seen him flop some big hands that would get run down or out flopped. The latest came in the early stages of the Bounty Event when he flopped a set with 5h5d on the 6d5d4c board. However, his opponent hit better with 3s2h. Byars added some chop outs on the 7c turn but had to ship some chips after the Jd river.

Byars is still sitting with 8,000 of his 12,000 starting stack so plenty of time to run it up.

Event 10: Climbing Towards the Guarantee

$150 Double Green Chip Bounty NL Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 2: 50/100
Entries: 56

Mark “Bud” Wiser

The entrant count continues to move higher as Event 10 rolls through the second level of the day and the 56 entries put them on pace to match last year’s tournament.

We’re seeing some familiar faces pop into play, some new today and some getting in the game after busting out of Event 9. Mark “Bud” Wiser is back at the table looking for his third deep run of the series. He earned back-to-back cashes in Events 3 and 4, both with final table appearance, and earned $5,338 for his third place finish in the multi-day $150 Event 3.
