Registration closed for the final flight of Tampa Poker Classic Event 2 with an incredible 535 entries to put the combined total at 1,463. That is good enough for a prize pool worth $490,105.
A lot of money for a $400 buy-in tournament.
We will post the complete payout structure once Flight E bags and everyone making Day 2 will be in the money. They will continue this evening until 54 players remain to join the 95 who already booked a Day 2 seat.

Players kept showing up all the way until we closed registration. There are still a handful of alternates awaiting seats but they will be in action shortly. We are going to come in a little short of a $500,000 prize pool but the $200,000 guarantee was smashed.
There were few huge stacks with the cautious early play but Bryan Winchell had a good few levels. He is up to 158,500 and leads the field with a lot of day to go.

Flight E reached Level 8 and that means time is running out if you want to get a piece of this massive Event 2 prize pool. They will play out this level, take a 15-minute break, and we will close registration when play resumes.

It’s a packed house in the Poker Room today, more than 300 entries at the first break and many many more expected over the next two hours. The combined entry count is over 1,250 and the prize pool has topped $400,000 and still growing.

The first four flights of Tampa Poker Classic Event 2 set the stage for a big Saturday in the Poker Room. The $400 buy-in tournament already beat its $200,000 with more than $300,000 in the prize pool with a huge field expected when we get underway at 10 am.
Players start with 20,000 stacks and the first 14 levels last 30 minutes and go up to 40 starting with Level 15. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 2:30 pm with unlimited re-entry options available during that time. Flight E will come to an end with 10% of the field remains and they will book a seat for Day 2 tomorrow at 11 am.
Cards flys at 10 am and we will pick up the action at the first break.

Dan Clemente
Dan Clemente did not have a good run over the last two levels. He dropped short, sent most of his stack across the table when his could not find a miracle against , and put his last 32,000 in the middle on the bubble.
Travis Gentile reshipped from the button to get a fold and isolate against Clemente. Action finished on the other tables and the cards were tabled.

Clemente needed to catch to double up but Gentile slammed the door when he made a set of nines on the flop. The turn and river finished the board, Clemente was eliminated on the bubble and the rest of the field was in the money.
Dixon Phillips stormed ahead late and bagged the Flight D lead with 458,000 followed by George Allen (392,000), Ben Keathley (366,000), Tyler Wallace (357,000), and Jacob Naumann (314,000).
