Flight A quickly dropped down to the last three tables after registration closed and they aren’t far from making it two tables. There’s still a lot of work ahead of them with only five advancing but they are getting there.

Registration closed for Flight A of Pinktober Poker Open with 49 entries putting the tournament more than halfway to its $50,000 guarantee. The second and final flight starts tomorrow at 11 am with late registration available until 3:30 pm.
Flight A will continue into the evening until five players remain. Those players will bag up and return on Friday for Day 2 at noon.

Nashaat Antonious was down short in the last level before registration closed but went on a heater. First he cracked the kings of Tony March, the chips going in after the 
flop. His 
was good to double him up near starting stack.
On the next hand, March was all in for 10,300 and Julio Delgado raised it up. Antonious called all in for 25,200 for a three-way all-in pot.

Most of the table was pulling for March even as he stood up from his seat. Things got a little exciting when the dealer put a nine on the 
flop but that was as close as March would get after the turn came 
followed by the

It’s a pretty casual Wednesday afternoon in the Poker Room, the mid-week mellow with some nice money on the line. With 43 entries, we have a lot of people matched up at the same table including two Tampa Poker legends.
Wally Maddah and Karl Manouchakian began the series as the players with the most cashes in our room. Both had 80 trips to the payout cage, the most of any player in our history with a 20 cash gap down to third place. That is not an insignificant distance.
Maddah took the lead over Manouchakian this weekend when he picked up his 81st cash in Event 2. The two are seated together today and Maddah recently cracked the aces of Manouchakian with big slick, making Broadway on a double-paired board.

We’ve reached the midpoint of the weekend and the same for the Pinktober Poker Open series. Today we roll out the first of two flights of Event 5, a $600 buy-in tournament with a $50,000 guarantee, and cards fly at 11 am.
Players start with 30,000 deep stacks and all levels last 30 minutes. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 3:30 pm with unlimited re-entry options available. Flight A will continue into the evening until only 10% of the starting field remains. Those survivors will bag up their chips and return for Day 2 on Friday at noon.
They will kick things off at the top of the hour and we will pick up coverage after the first break.
