A quick walk among the tables during the second break and it looks like Joe McCray has the biggest stack after eight levels. Certainly the tallest.

He is up to 189,700 but still aways to go if he wants to catch overall chip leader Julio Delgado who bagged nearly one million chips last night.

Players returned to their seats and registration closed for Event 1 of the Pinktober Poker Open. The three flights combined to put 504 entries into the $500 Mega Stack to create a prize pool worth $216,720.

Play will continue today until 26 players remain and those players will join the other 26 who advanced from Flights A and B.

We expected a big crowd on a Saturday and that’s what we have. The entry count hit 200 shortly after the first break and we still have a handful of alternates to get in their seats. Registration will remain open until 3:30 pm so there’s still time to get down here.

The first two flights of the Pinktober Poker Open starter and the $500 buy-in tournament already surpassed its $100,000 guarantee with a combined 248 entries so far. Flight C of the Mega Stacks starts at 11 am and we expect a huge weekend crowd.

Players start with 40,000 stacks out front and all levels last 30 minutes. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 3:30 pm with unlimited re-entries during that time. The Saturday session will continue into the evening and come to an end when 10% of the starting field remains. Those players will bag up their chips and return for Day 2 tomorrow at noon in the money.

Cards fly at the top of the hour and we will pick up coverage after the first break.

Unlike yesterday, Flight B had a quick trip into the money once they hit hand-for-hand. There were a few short stacks and one went out quickly to put the 14 remaining players in the money and on to Day 2..

The reason we had more short stacks today than yesterday, Julio Delgado went huge and finished his day with 1,300,000 in his bag for the overall lead. Yan Tin Jiang was second with 828,000 and good enough for third overall.
