Event 3 continues on its trek to the next WPTDeepStacks Tampa champion but the live updates team is calling it a night. There are two tables remaining with a little work to reach the final table, and then hit the money bubble with five remaining.

Later tonight they will divide up the $10,500 and someone will walk away with the guitar trophy. We will post the results first thing in the morning and announce the winner.

The $360 buy-in tournament has a $250,000 guaranteed prize pool which should be hit sometime on Saturday.

Dealers are in their seats and we are ready to get action underway.

John Sellars

Flight C is back underway and they quickly dropped down to the last two tables after the return. They have three more levels to make it through and it looks like John Sellars is back in the lead with 230,000.

If they fall short here, Flight D starts at the top of the hour for another chance.

Flight C continues to fly right along and they are on the verge of making it down to the last two tables as Level 11 runs out. That means it’s just about time for the final break of the day. They only have three more levels after that to run up a bag for Day 2 on Sunday.

Parm Mehmi

The last entry in today’s flight caught our eye, not because she’s at a poker table but because the table where she grabbed a seat.

Parm Mehmi is usually on the cash side of the room grinding away but she was the last person in Flight C today. While cash may be her preferred game, she’s no slouch in tournaments with more than $150,000 in career earnings and a WSOP final table. Mehmi finished in fifth place at the 2015 WSOP Ladies Championship, later won by fellow SHRP favorite Jacquelyn Scott.

John Sellars

Players are back in their seats and registration is closed on the third of seven Event 1 starting flights. The unofficial count shows 103 entries this afternoon and we will wait for staff to complete the accounting before we know for sure.

John Sellars is the latest at the top of the counts and he is way out front. He sits with 201.400 which would be good enough for a top five stack for all three flights combined. There’s still plenty of time and someone could catch him over the last six levels.
