The remaining players made it to the final break of the day with 61 remaining and two more levels to go. Anthony Dianaty still holds a nice stack with 229,000 but Emad Alabsi passed him by and leads the field holding 270,500.

We’re still waiting to see if any monster stacks emerge over the last two levels in an attempt to catch Karl Manouchakian for the overall lead.

The big numbers are in and we had a fantastic turnout for the 2019 Pinktober Poker Open Main Event. The three starting flights combined for 466 entries to easily surpass the $300,000 Guarantee.

They put $447,360 up for grabs and the last 47 spots will be paid. A min-cash will earn $2,192 and the Pinktober Poker Open Main Event champ will walk away with $93,545 plus that shiny guitar trophy.

In addition to the prize money, our players helped raise another $4,660 for the American Cancer Society.

The Poker Room is hopping on a Saturday afternoon. It was normally be packed with weekend grinders in the cash games and today’s Main Event flight is kicking it up.

We have 225 entries now, the combined total grew to 448, and the prize pool is now over $430,000.

While they were gone, we found a few six-digit stacks in the room but none was bigger than Jason Talarski. He is up to 135,900 after six levels, a number better than what a good number of people bagged in the first two flights.

Flight C is nearing 200 entries with more than three and a half hours remaining in registration. Seems like a pretty easy mark to hit from here.

James Calderaro

Flight C reached 177 players in Level 5 and that was good enough to put the Main Event entry count at an even 400 combined. The prize pool is only a few entries away from pushing the prize pool over $400,000.

Player number 177 was none other than WSOP and WPT Champion James Calderaro. The fun-loving grinder grabbed his seat this afternoon and already having a good time with his table.

“Caldo” earned his first major title in 2014 after he won the Seminole Lucky Hearts Poker Open Championship to put his name on the WPT Champions Cup. Three years later, he added WSOP bracelet champ to his résumé when he took down the 2017 WSOP $25,000 Pot Limit Omaha High Roller.
