We missed how it happened but wondered by Stuart Henrique’s table to see our Day 2 starting leader added to his stack. He built it up from 505,000 to begin the day to a whopping 745,000 after a level and a half of play.
Only seven tables remain in action and those 63 players are trying to make the next milestone, the money when 47 are still here.

Jamie “Beard” Smith opened to 10,000 from under the gun. It folded all the way around to Wally Maddah in the big blind, he moved all in for 77,000 and Smith quickly called.

Maddah needed to catch to stay in the Main Event but the flop did not look promising. Smith took away Maddah’s heart outs and Maddah began standing up before the dealer put out the turn. Maddah faded the hearts and queens on the river to double.

Peter Walsworth opened to 10,000 from middle position and Deon Sampson moved all in for 58,000 from the hijack. Every folded back around to Walsworth and he quickly called.

At 11 am on the dot, tournament staff put cards in the air for Day 2 of the Pinktober Poker Open Main Event.
78 players remain, 47 get paid, and the winner will take home more than $93,000. Blind levels are 40 minutes long until the start of Level 18 when they increase to 60 minutes.

Three starting flights combined to put 466 entries into the 2019 Pinktober Poker Open Main Event and the field is down to 78 players. They return to the Poker Room today to begin working down to a champion.
Karl Manouchakian bagged the biggest stack in Flight A, his lead held through Flight B, but Stuart Henrique passed him by late in Flight C to take the overall lead. Henrique returns to a stack worth 505,000 with Manouchakian’s 433,000 in good shape as well. Jamie “Beard” Smith (386,000), Tam Nguyen (375,000), and Anthony Dianaty (375,000) round out the top five.
The Main Event will play three more 40-minute levels before they increase to one hour. Not long after that, levels will jump to 90 minutes when the tournament reaches the last three tables.
It will be a long, tough road with a slow structure and more than $93,000 awaiting the winner.

It looked like Karl Manouchakian was going to hold the Day 2 lead but Stuart Henrique stormed ahead late and put 505,000 away for Day 2. That tops Manouchakian’s 433,000 but they are both in the comfort zone.
Others advancing among the 43 from Flight C include David Tuthill, Justin Zaki, Anthony Dianaty, Emad Alabsi, Brandon Byars, and Doyle Scott Elliott.
