Main Event players were sent on a 40-minute dinner break following Level 21 but not before we lost starting Day 2 chip leader Stuart Henrique. Despite a fast start, he was unable to maintain his momentum and went out in 18th place.

We will count down the stacks and see who’s leading and and who needs to make a move.

Just when it looked like the slow down was going to last a long while, we had three quick eliminations to get the field down to two tables.

First up was Edward Kofler. He open-shoved from under the gun for 105,000 and Tan Nguyen called from the big blind.

Kofler was dominated and nothing on the run out could save his Main Event.

Shortly after, Dustin Geselius was all in for ~255,000 and Quyen Hoang had him at risk from the small blind.

Geselius was ahead but Hoang paired the flop. He began getting out of his seat but sat back down when the dealer put out the turn. The save was short lived as Hoang made two pair on the river to send Geseluis out in 20th place.

At the other table, Carlos Guerrero completed the trifecta and hit the exit in 19th place to set up the last two tables.

It’s been slow going at the last three tables with 90-minute levels and deep stacks. Samuel Oh lost his short stack to go out in 22nd place but little other action.

They will play out Level 21 and take a one-hour dinner break.

It was three-ways to a flop and Anthony Dianaty bet 30,000 from the small blind. Russell Jaicks raised to 100,000 from the big to get a call from Stuart Henrique and fold from Dianaty.

Jaicks bet another 100,000 after the turn, Henrique called, and Jaicks checked the river. Henrique pulled out some 25K chips and bet 175,000. Jaicks thought for a minute, called the bet, and said “king high”.

He showed for queens and jacks with a king kicker. Henrique folded and our former leader continued to slide while Jaicks moved up top.

We expected a slowdown as the Main Event neared the last three tables but they made it there soon after the second break. Plus some, Daniel Silva went out in 28th place and Daniel Dedomenico was eliminated in 27th place before they could redraw seats.

Derek Bowers opened under the gun for a full barrel of 5K chips, his 100,000 raise leaving only 35,000 behind. It folded to Rodney Turvin in middle position and he popped it for a min-raise to 200,000 to get folds from the rest of the table. Bowers tossed his remaining 35,000 and needed help.
