Roy Doesn’t Need a Pair

Terry Roy (pictured) raises to 6,400 from the hijack. Rob Manjura calls from the small blind and the big blind calls as well. Three players  see a flop of 6d6c2d and all three players check.

The turn is the 3d and Manjura leads out for 8,000. The big blind folds and Roy calls. The river is the 9c and Manjura bets again, this time 9,500.

Roy doesn’t take too long to call and tables AhJd, good for ace-high and takes the pot after Manjura tables KsTs.

Roy is sitting with 63,000 in chips after he scoops the pot. Manjura is hovering around the 90,000 chip mark.
