Filipp Khavin

We mentioned a lot of visitors today but we have our share of locals in the mix trying to keep that guitar trophy right here in house.

Filipp Khavin, Jeremy Becker, and Karl Manouchakian are in Flight B and working on their stacks. Someone at Becker’s table said he had aces three times in the early levels and that got a smile confirmation from him.

Jacob Naumann

More players are jumping into Flight B of the Main Event and we found two who are running out the clock on 2021 with a nice run.

Jacob Naumann is fresh from a successful trip to Las Vegas where he won a $400 tournament at the Aria and followed that up with a $100K score for winning the $1,100 at the Wynn.

Juan Carlos Ramirez started a little earlier when he made two final tables during our September Super Stacks series and made his trip the Vegas where he made a deep run in the WSOP Main Event.

Antuan Bunkley (Frank Russo in the background)

A quick look around the empty tables at break found two big stacks setting themselves apart from the rest of the field. And sitting back-to-back at Tables 22 and 33.

Antuan Bunkley leads the field with 101,000 but Frank Russo is only one purple chip behind with 100,500. Both are in good shape at this stage but there’s still a lot of poker to play today.

Willie Wiggins

With the weekend getting here in full force, we’re beginning to see more visitors in town for the WPO Main Event with more than a few regulars from our sister room in Hollywood.

We found Willie Wiggins and Shawn Mohamed here in early action and expect many more as they make their to the Poker room.

Kyle Rignola was another one of our players in their seats at the start of the day. Unlike at least one player, he’s still there.

We saw a player at his table back up his gear and go and Rignola was sitting on an early double starting stack before the first level came to an end.
