Benjamin Warren

The Tampa Poker Classic Pot Limit Omaha 8 tournament drew a great field with 83 entries making it one of our biggest ever. Benjamin Warren worked his way through a tough field to take the title and $9,330 for the outright win.

Players created a prize pool worth $27,810 with the final table nine all making some money. They quickly played down to the bubble, it took nearly an hour to burst it, and they formed the final table with Austin Marks leading.

The choppy nature of the game meant it was going to take a lot of work to win the tournament.  Four hours of tough play came to an end when Warren moved his way from the middle of the pack to top when he defeated Marks heads-up for the title.

Congratulations to Benjamin and good luck the rest of the series.

The popular Seniors Event on the Tampa Poker Classic schedule kicked off on Monday morning and James Keating captured the crown 12 hours later after a five-way deal saw him earn $6,068 along with the $2,200 TPC Event 12 seat.

The $250 special event drew 216 entries to put $44,280 in the prize pool, more than quadrupling the $10,000 guarantee. The last 22 players earned some money with the bubble bursting shortly before dinner break.

Keating was among the leaders at the start of the final table and we the top stack when Tamra Piderit was eliminated in sixth place. The last four players decided to split the remaining prize pool right down the middle with Keating’s chip lead earning him the title, the trophy, and the big game seat in TPC Event 12.
