Julio Novo was the clear leader and his 467,000 was the only stack over 400K. The next two biggest are sitting side-by-side with Charles Beniot (364,000) and Isaac Ali (330,000) the closest to Novo.

Flight F is playing down fast and dropping closer to an early night. 136 players are remaining, 51 will move to Day 2, and looking at some big money later tomorrow.

A few still in contention include some players, including David Tuthill, Justin Zaki, and last year’s TPC Championship third-place finisher Thomas McDonald.

Registration closed for the last flight of the TPC opener with 503 entries putting the combined total at 1,705 for the tournament. That makes this our biggest opening tournament of a Poker Room series (we are not including the two massive starters in the Event Center) and we thank you.

The prize pool sits at $571,175 and a clear blast of the $250,000 guarantee. We will post the official payout numbers as soon as they bag this evening.

Today we have the last flight of the TPC $400 opener and it should be a busy, busy day in the Poker Room. The tournament drew 1,202 entries over the first five flights and Saturday afternoon poker will draw them out. The prize pool is already over $400K and they will blast it higher today.

Players start with 30K out front and all levels last 30 minutes on Day 1, going up to 40 minutes on Day 2. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 2:30 pm and players may re-enter as often as they wish during that time. Flight F will wrap things up tonight when they reach 10% of the starting field and they will bag their chips for a Day 2 return tomorrow at noon in the money.

It didn’t take long for them to settle the matter of money after the break. Less than halfway through Level 17, they went from 35 players to 33 players and they started bagging their chips for a Day 2 return on Sunday in the money.

Stephen Brite took the lead late and held on for the biggest bag of the flight with 804,000 followed by Richie Smith’s 742,000.
