Championship: O’Neal Felted At The End

$1,650 Buy-In Championship No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

End of Level 12: Blinds 800/1,600/200 ante

John O’Neal called off the last of his chips in the dark from the big blind after Gabriel Tudorache raised from the small.  Gabriel tabled KsJs and John was ahead with AdQc.

Then the board rolled out KhKd5hAhTs shipping the pot to Gabriel with trip Kings.  John hit the rail just before the end of play.

That left 20 players to bag up their chips.  Counts will be posted shortly.

Championship: Roll Him Over

$1,650 Buy-In Championship No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

Level 12: Blinds 800/1,600/200 ante

John Pappas checked the river on a board of 7s7d5hQd9c and action was on John O’Neal.

Before O’Neal acted, Pappas said “Ace-King no good.”   Undeterred, O’Neal proceed to bet 6,500, which Pappas quickly called, showing 8s8d for a pair of 8s to go with the 7s on board.  O’Neal mucked and Pappas took the pot.

John Pappas has been on the waiting list for one of the high limit games for a while.  He put his name on the list a while back, in case he busted out.  They keep rolling his name over since he’s still in the tournament.

As they near the end of play, Michael Laake has extended his lead over the field.  He’s got over 350k.

With 22 remaining, the average stack is 102k.

Championship: Wolak Gets Greensteined

$1,650 Buy-In Championship No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

Level 12: Blinds 800/1,600/200 ante

Before the blinds went up, Marsha Wolak (sb) tangled with Kevin Blewitt.

They got to the turn with a board of 6h6c4c8h and Kevin shoved for 33,500.  Marsha tanked for a minute, then called, showing JsJc.  She was ahead of Kevin’s Ah9h, but he had a flush draw and one overcard.

The river delivered the Ad giving Kevin the bigger pair.  He chipped up to ~115k.  Marsha’s stack dropped to ~69k after getting Greensteined by an Ace on the River.

Championship: Rose Wilts Before Last Break

$1,650 Buy-In Championship No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

End of Level 10: Blinds 500/1,000/100 ante

Mark Rose
Mark Rose

In a battle of the blinds, Mark Rose (sb) got all-in holding 6h5h on a flop of Js4h2h which gave him a flush draw with gutshot.  Unfortunately for Mark, his opponent in the big blind had AhTh, nullifying the flush draw.

The last two came JsQh giving his opponent the nut flush and giving Mark the boot.

Players are on a break, which will be their last of the night.  They’ll return for two more levels, then bag up. Registration closed with 75 (unofficial) entries in this flight.

Only 29 of those still have chips.  Average is ~78k.
