Tampa loves Pot Limit Omaha and they proved it again with WPT Tampa Event 10. A massive crowd of 150 entries turned out, and Nick Yuryev made a huge comeback for the outright win along with $12,460.
That number of entries was significant; it represents the biggest Mixed PLO tournament field in Seminole Hard Rock Poker history topping the 126 from Hollywood this past Spring. They combined to create a prize pool worth $50,250 and the last 19 made some money.
The tournament played down to the final table, but they could not crown a winner. Three players came back for an extra day and John Binns had a huge lead over Yuryev and Matt Bretzfield. Yuryev eliminated Bretzfield early on Day 2 and they settled into a long heads-up battle.
Yuryev erased the lead then won all the chips to win the Event 10 along with $12,460 and the WPT trophy.
