After 11 hours of playing poker, the 115 players that showed up for the third flight and final flight of the $1,650 No Limit Hold’em Spring Poker Open Championship, were trimmed down to just 20.
The 115 players that showed up for the start of play at 11 am on Saturday brought the total field size to 261 players and shattered the $300,000 guaranteed prize pool.
The 261 players generated a prize pool of $391,500 and a first-place prize of $109,613. The top 27 players will receive a payday and a min-cash will be worth $3,524. The top seven finishers will all earn five-figure paydays.
Jean Gaspard dominated the third starting flight of the event. Gaspard, who has over $1.2 million in tournament earnings finished the day with 274,500 in chips and is the overall tournament chip leader heading into the final day.
Other notables that made it through the third flight include Justin Zaki, Barbara Cardin, and Stephen Diamantas, who won the Winter Poker Open Championship here in Tampa last December for over $120,000.
